Cricket history
Cricket was originated in South-East England. It became the national sport in the 18th century and was developed in the 19th and 20th century. Most common forms of cricket are Test Cricket, Limited Overs - ODI with 50 overs and T20.
International test matches started in 1844 and was respected in 1877. ODI was introduced in 1960s and first game was played in 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. T20 was introduced by the England & Wales Cricket Board in 2003 for an inter- country competition but became very popular amongst the youngsters.
Cricket is the second most popular viewed sport in the world. Cricket was also introduced to America before it was introduced to North England!
